Heavy Construction Finished
Rooney's Quality Construction completed the heavy construction necessary to have the "back room" refurbished and become a usable space. As you can see it provides a nice large area to serve as the Montana room, separating it from the computer room and becoming a refuge for contemplation, reading, or research. Friends of the Library purchased wingback chairs and Elton Lee constructed a pair of tables [one visible] for patron use while visiting the library.

Valences Installed

Window valences were constructed and covered in theme appropriate material by Melinda Vennard and Carol Berg. The boxes were then installed by Elton Lee.
1st shelving

Gerald Masse built and installed the necessary shelving to house all the volumes in the Montana room.
Matching Chairs

Melinda Vennard and Edna Dracon took it upon themselves to 'ROAD TRIP' down to Livingston where two matching wing backed chairs were found and purchased by the Friends of the Library. It was determined that both chairs needed new upholstery. Matching fabric choosen, Carol Berg went to work and finished the job expertly and in a timely fashion.
Working Furniture
The corner table and study area was created, built and donated by Elton Lee.
Then the Rest of the shelving...

The remaining bookshelves were constructed by Jerry Masse. The Montana room has now become an integral part of the Library.
The final touches
Here is the finished corner with chairs, tables, bookshelves, lamp and window treatments creating a perfect space that is inviting, comfortable, and quiet. The Montana room is a perfect setting for browsing or studying the big sky topic of Montana.
